But something changed inside Kurt. In his feud against the young competitor Johnny Lyle, Kurt's real nature came out. He harassed Johnny's girlfriend Marie, and even broke Johnny arm, forcing him to take a long break from CPW. Kurt continued his sadistic game with the CPW superstars, until Johnny Lyle came back, now in the Heavyweight Division. Lyle brought his girlfriend Marie with him, and they continued to feud with the Angel of Berlin. Marie even tricked Engelhorns wife in telling her that she would be Kurt's affair, thus taking there feud to a new level. In their feud, Johnny was able to win the CPW Heavyweight Title from Xander Chase in a Fatal Four way with Kurt and KONG being the two other opponents.
It finally ended in an barbaric Sanitarium Death Match, where Johnny Lyle not only retained the CPW Havyweight Title, but also beat his bitter rival Kurt. Then, a new chance came for Kurt. He joined the JHTA (Juan Hefe's Talent Agency), and now the future looks bright for "The German Wonder" Kurt Engelhorn.
