Yea, after seeing everyone's input on it, I agree. A merger would be a mistake. Thats why you make a proposal though, to get the input and respective sides of things. I do enjoy how basically, in character, they are two feds that are almost like cousins. Kinda like ROH and CZW where you can compete and both and make a bigger name for yourself by working the circuit.
I do however think that we should create some kind of method for creating and mapping out storylines.

Well the Storyline forum would probably be restricted to handlers, or atleast registered users. E-Feds are for fun, but its also cool, especially when you have polls like match of the week and such, to build a fan (reader) base. Some of the bigger efeds actually got a crazy amount of hits. So many people wanted to join, and with the rosters closed, you would just find yourself reading cards and roleplays. One fed, fWo, got so big and well known that at one point there were literally in-character fan sites that would interview characters, write columns and predictions. The roster was closed and pretty exclusive, so yearly, they would run the 'fWo Survivor' where a number of characters were picked, and they would have to compete in roleplay challenges, the top two winners earning a spot in fWo.
Now I'm aware that VCW is a new fed, but thats all the more reason to start strong. No Mercy Feds offer a pretty unique product in that, they are fantasy wrestling, with a product. A visual product that you can draw viewers in with. Eventually down the road, I could help by simming matches and actually recording them, uploading them to YouTube. You'd be surprised how many people watch CAW / Simmed matches on YouTube.
Fantasy Wrestling, down the line, is about writing and characters. Whats the use in doing it if you don't try to get people to enjoy it?

Quick reply on the storyline thing, creating a better list of who owns who and who's feuding with who would be doable, but a pain in the balls to keep updated. Right now the best way to see who's with who, is to check the roleplays. We have had major storylines,
Sergei Sokol's usurping Larry Jordan as Samantha Swift's bodyguard.
Scotty Long stealing the Juniorweight belt from The Misfit.
187 being extroted by the mob into doing acts wouldn't otherwise do.
Gigante Fujima driving Jacob Black out of wrestling.
The hardcore title thing that is currently running.
Not too bad since this week is our 7th or 8th show.

Well, the storyline forum would be more handler run that V run. I realize that you're already busting your ass updating everything, and by the way, if you need any help with stats and bookkeeping, I'd be happy to help you with that.
I figured it would be more like, Ryan would post his thread with his characters and such, I would post my thread, Juan would post his, etc. We could just create a common format and everyone would be in charge from there.
Sorry if I seem like I'm trying to bust in with all of my wacky vet ideas, but I'm just taking some stuff that I saw that worked in other feds and try to insert them here to create a stronger product for all of us.

You don't happen to have links to this feds. do you ? I'm pretty interested to check them out, and see if this is really working so well like you said.

Sergei Sokol's usurping Larry Jordan as Samantha Swift's bodyguard. Yes, I've enjoyed this one. It's not over though, right? In Russia we have a good proverb, it will sound like " To lee yesche bud'et!". It means, that the thing will go on, and become much greater.

Yea, its not currently active though. It went on hiatus last year, after 7 straight years of activity. Its sister fed, CWL, is considered the greatest angle fed in history, even though right at its peak, its owner was killed in a car accident, IRL. Just google fWo, its the second link that comes up.

could you point out where the example of the stoyline thing you mentioned would be? Cause I have no problem adding a board for people to see who's involved in what, but I'd like to see an example of it first. The easiest way to tell who's in a storyline is to read through the current show and the one before. In all likelyhood, any active storylines should be mentioned on one of them. Short of that, if you want to feud with someone who's profile you've seen and liked, PM them and/or me and we'll let you know if they're available, and propose ideas and such. That way everyone isn't looking at what we are planning. It helps keep the show something of a surprise until I post results. As with "real" wrestling, most people will still be able to guess the outcome of matches, but they won't actually know them. The site looks cool, but the pics are very definately not from No Mercy. Did they change over to another engine at some point? And Narvat, Shock Squad vs LJ & Cage is on this week's card, the angle isn't over. Ryanbow, the funniest thing is that I was watching The Island while you were talking about clones.

No, thats not a sim fed, its an angle fed. They use POSER 3D for their character art. At one point, they had intro animations, but I think having to animate that with POSER got a little brutal so he stopped doing it. Most of the angle feds use POSER for their roster pics.
I don't really have an example of where you could see a Storyline forum, most of them are in backstage areas and restricted to handlers only.
