Biography:
A superbly gifted technical wrestler that just happened to grow up on the wrong side of the tracks, "The Notorious" 187 (real name D'Brickashaw Brody) wanted something more than the usual SoCal gangsta lifestyle of dealing drugs and killing thugs.
From a young age, he showed great interest in professional wrestling and used a local gym (Black Jack's Pain Factory), where pro wrestling classes were offered, to escape from his everyday existence.
From the moment he stepped foot in the Pain Factory, Brody knew he'd found his calling. Drawing on his real life experiences to fuel his gimmick, Brody rechristened himself "The Notorious" 187 and became an underground legend in southern California using a mixture of violent brawling, technical wizardry and off the charts psychology. Before long, Brody caught the attention of east coast independent fed Jersey All Pro Wrestling and left California for good.
Once 187 got to Jersey, it didn't take long for him to cement his reputation as an extremely violent yet technically sound grappler willing to do anything to get over with the crowd. Whether it be death matches with Necro Butcher or instant classics with Homicide (OOC: ), "The Notorious One Eight Seven" fought through any adversity and came out looking like a million bucks.
This is where the story gets complicated. His first teacher, "Black" Jack Dunnigan, owed a lot of money to a lot of bad people in Vegas. Taking a chance that his star pupil still remembered him, he got in touch with Brody and pleaded his case, as well as a possible solution to his problem: if "The Notorious" 187 could come to Vegas and compete in Vegas Championship Wrestling, Dunnigan could earn favour with his creditors and stave off his personal doomsday.
The catch: Brody had to perform certain "special favours" for "Black" Jack's underworld friends that wouldn't exactly endear him to VCW's staff.
Brody accepted for the sake of the man who saved him from the streets and now he must come through on his part of the bargain, whatever that may entail.
