Bio:
Devlin was the kid people knew, but disliked. Constantly bullied and often in fights at school, English-born Luke Devlin was always an outcast, because he was always different to everyone else, and always wanted to excel in life, but do it his way.
When Devlin left school, he sought a career in professional wrestling, being a fan of many years, as well as being a black belt in shotokan karate.
However, his career track started on the rocks, as all the wrestling schools he applied for in England turned him down- his short temper and fiery attitude always got him in to trouble. But he made a promise to them all, that one day, his time would come. His rising would arrive.
And the oppurtunity came- he gained training from AJ Styles, until Devlin's ambition got the better of him, and he turned his back on Styles, leading up to beating his mentor to a bloody pulp in a last man standing match. Following his own personal training, Devlin landed himself in the (now defunct) Maritime Wrestling alliance (MWA) in November 2005 where he became a three time NMHC Juniorweight Champion, as well as achieving a brief run as MWA Television Champion.
While in MWA, he also joined the indy federation California Pro Wrestling (CPW) in late January 2006 as the first member of the federation's roster. In the summer of 2006, Devlin moved to Oakland, California, so as to be closer to CPW.
Devlin is a former and only three-time NMHC Juniorweight Champion, and is also the longest NMHC Juniorweight Champion in history, as well as also being a former MWA Television Champion.
Combining his lethal Shotokan Karate techniques with his technical prowess and aerial assault, Luke Devlin is perhaps one of the most gifted hybrid stars performing on the West Coast today.
