Just wanted to start a thread to talk about how the two federations will relate to each other. Keep in mind that we are still in the 'planning' stages as it were, and I am willing to listen to any and all feedback.
First of all, as both are indies, it is unlikely that either would require its wrestlers to sign no-compete clauses in their contracts. So it is possible for a CAW to be in both federations at the same time, from a legal standpoint.
From a logistical standpoint, it must be noted that such a CAW would not have feuds carrying between feds. For example, when Esix Cordero appears on VCW shows, he would not be carrying any championships he possesses in CPW and vice versa. Indy feds may allow wrestlers to work multiple feds, but they aren't gonna have them hyping those other feds on their shows.
Vegas is about 7 hours across the desert to Los Angeles. I'm unsure how far LA is from Bakersfield, but with the shows on Wednesday & Sunday, it wouldn't be an issue for a wrestler to make the commute back & forth.
A good rule of thumb for the time being is that if you feel your CAW wouldn't be able to compete in both feds at once, lean towards CPW. Any indy wrestler would gladly take a chance to shine in the larger spotlight that CPW provides. Of course if your CAW has a reason why he/she would want to be in Vegas, then run with it.
Thoughts, questions & comments below.

This is a great idea and it really has to be enforced in order to keep both feds alive and thriving.

So is this just a clone of CPW, or will it become like a rival to them, etc? I don't really see a major point in creating a fed that's very similar to CPW.. and some of the CPW members are coming here, so it's pretty much the same, except new. Perhaps VCW could be used as a training fed for CPW like CPW was for MWA at first. (just a thought) Please tell me and the new members who join how this will be different to CPW.

VCW is similar to CPW which similar to MWA. As far as visually, for the boards, I went with green & red (yay x-mas!) as opposed to blue & purple, but people seemed to like the black background, and it makes posting images easier imo. The layout of the boards is similar because it makes sense, but I feel my boards are a little more streamlined. I think our "community" boards are always going to be CPW, with the Wrestling & Graphics boards and such. I just want to have a fed that I not only run front the start, but am involved with from the start. I missed SWF's debut, I missed MWA's by 1 week with Vertigo, and I missed CPW's debut. So it'll be fun to finally be involved from inception. Fun is my primary goal.
Arena wise it looks different, I have the Longshot arena, & I just finished a quicky arena for the Armory. (which looks good btw). The crowd and ringside are by Devlin so they are the same as Sanitarium, and I used wrestlemania for Longshot, so you could call it similar.
VCW will be different in a number of ways, first of all with house shows not meaning anything towards titles, it allows me to basicaly run a house show whenever I feel like it, and produce pics for people to use as a result.
When I do up Longshot, you will see a difference in execution since I'll be using my commentary team (see Staff & Managers) extensively. Also in the Staff & Managers section you will find that I have at least a brief write-up of all the staff that you could want to use. (may Mike the Ring Crew Guy) This will add to the depth of the roleplays, as I hope the famed "Announcer #2" never makes an appearance in VCW.
I'm also trying to add little things to flavor the fed and give opportunities for more roleplaying, including the 10 questions segment, having matches appear in all 3 rp sections, records, and adding things to the Profile sections.
The biggest difference is that it's different CAWs. The CAWs absolutely shape the fed around them by their actions. What would CPW have been without Devlin? What would MWA have been without Vertigo or John Curry? Very different places. VCW will be a very different place.
So I encourage you to join up and submit a new CAW. If you aren't having fun (which is my goal) you can always have you CAW go inactive and do just CPW. I don't mind if we do end up being the training ground for CPW, but I'd rather it just was an unsaid thing. For now I'd like to have VCW stand on it's on, helping CPW while CPW helps it. And existing in the same universe, for the possibility of cross-over, (talent swap type of things, NO Invasions between the two)

Yeah, there's no competition involved. If anything, it's a good way to share ideas, and to make the fun bigger. We can be like a real indy, with guys showing up every now and then at The Other Fed. That, and there's more opportunity. If you feel you've run out of ideas for the time being in one fed, visit the other. It's all about fun. Let's keep it that way.
