[glow=red,2,300]Something Like a New Beginning[/glow]
D'Brickashaw Brody AKA "The Notorious" 187 is reading his favourite book as his plane lands at Vegas International Airport. The book is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas by Hunter S. Thompson and Brody hopes that his trip to Sin City is going to go a lot smoother than Raoul Duke's did. As the plane pulls into the terminal, Brody politely waits his turn to get off the plane and thanks the flight staff. Internally however, he's dealing with heavy emotions that threaten to boil over.
What in the hell did Jack get me in? First things first, I gotta find out who these dudes are and what Jack owes them. I hope to Christ it's just money...
Brody walks casually yet confidently through the terminal and follows the signs to the baggage pick-up area. As he exits the security zone, he sees "Black" Jack Dunnigan waiting for him with a huge smile on his face.
"Brody! You made it!"
Dunnigan pounces on Brody and gives him a huge bear-like hug. Brody returns the hug for a brief moment and then pushes away.
"Okay Jack. What the hell is all this about?"
Dunnigan's joy at seeing his only pupil to ever amount to anything turns to intense and overwhelming anxiety.
"I owe lots of money Brody. Lots of it. And the worst of it is, I've got no real way to pay it back."
Brody shrugs his shoulders and makes a twirling motion with his fingers.
"Yeah, that's what I figured. So where do I fit in?"
Dunnigan's brow creases as he turns Brody towards the luggage carrousel.
"This isn't a good place to talk about it Brody. Let's get your luggage and head on over to my place. I've got supper on the way and we can talk it over beers and tacos."
Brody resignedly follows after his former teacher and grins.
"Yeah, ain't nothin' can't be discussed over beers and nachos Jack!"
