Hello everyone,
It has unfortunately become that time. I regret to announce that after 3 years I am closing VCW. In the past few months with school and work I found that I can actually handle those things, when I'm not also doing VCW. Since I need to focus on those things I need close up show here.
VCW has been a source of great entertainment for me (and hopefully you all as well.) Doing VCW was always fun even at the end but as time went on it really felt more like work than play. Instead of looking forward to doing up a ppv, I started just wanting to get through them so they were finished. I still gave each match my full attention and tried to make it as good as I could though.
I think we all did a good job with great characters, storylines and rivalries. Thank you to everyone who helped along the way. VCW has given me many memories that I will take with me for many years to come.
For the immediate future, December 31, 2009 will be the last day of VCW. I may or may not do a short ppv for that night to finish things off. But either way that will be the last date of VCW's titles.
At some point next year I will be doing the farewell show. Essentially a dream show with people from all over VCW's history having that one more match.
I plan on leaving up the boards and doing something similar to what I did with CPW & MWA as far as the more complete records and stats. I hadn't really been keeping up with them in VCW because VCW was still ongoing.
I am sad to have to close up VCW since it has been a pretty big part of my life for 3 years. I hope everyone enjoyed themselves as much as I did or more. I'd love to hear what people thought of VCW, what you loved or hated. It's all good.
It's been a blast,
Greg
