August 26, 2006 "The Notorious" 187 ~VS~ "Wild Card" Scotty Long "The Notorious" 187 made his debut with "Black" Jack Dunnigan in tow. He quickly bloodied Scotty with a stiff headbutt, then qhipped him over with a snapmare. 187 locked Long in a camel clutch, until Scotty got his foot on the rope. Looking to press his advantage, 187 grabbed his opponent from behind, was met with a hard elbow to the jaw. Homicide shrugged off the blow and signalled to the crowd that the end had come, then unleashed The Flamethrower. Scotty's already bloody form was now charred black around his face. Scotty kicked out of the cover, apparently awoken by the fire and nailed 187 with the Suicide King. 187 kicked out but only to hit immediately with a german suplex. Although Scotty bridged, Notorious managed to kick out yet again. 187 just wouldn't stay down, and snapped down The WIld Card with a modified spinebuster. Scotty howled with fury and unleashed The Deuce, a series of quick right jabs followed by the big right haymaker. 187 was knocked cold and Scotty finally scored the three-count victory. Here is your winner, "Wild Card" Scotty Long !

Right away, Bennie came boppin' down to the ring, as only he can do. "Boppin" Bennie Ray ~VS~ Ghost
Bennie tokk advantage of his size advantage early on with a samoan drop and a modified powerbomb. Ghost began to demonstrate why he calls himself 'an indestructable form' and completely ignored the damage then hit a big guillotine leg drop from the top rope. Benni retalliated by going back to basics, a snap mare and a back elbow stopped Ghost. This time Ghost resorted to his faster moves and nailed a monkey flip and a standing hurricanrana for a two-count. Bennie got back to his feet and tried to throw Ghost into the ropes with an irish whip. Ghost reversed the whip and caught The Bopper off the ropes with another hurricanrana, this time securing the victory on his surprised opponent. Here is your winner, Ghost !
"Providence" by Kilgore blasts out of the speakers, already at the chorus as Ghost makes the sign of the cross over his fallen adversary.

Gigante Fujima ~VS~ Jacob Black
Fujima brawled in the early going, hitt Jacob with a back elbow and then just brutaly clubbing him accross the back. Gigante then started to really weaken his opponent, hitting a side suplex and a back breaker. Jacob was tossed repeatedly over Fujima's headwith belly to belly suplexes. Jacob finally managed to temporary stop FUjima's offense with a choke hold (which he of course denies using). Fujima wasn't stopped for long, wrenching Jacob's arm and pounding it with his elbow. Jacob tried to bounce off the ropes, but only got hoisted into the air, to drop face first on the mat. Fujima set up Jacob in front of him as he sat himself on the top rope. The Warnings Over was all it took at that point to defeat Jacob. Here is your winner, Gigante Fujima !
"Nobody's Listening" comes on and Fujima celebrates his decisive victory.

"The Playboy" Esix Cordero ~VS~ "The Tempest" Jose Reyes
Jose would be looking to turn his fortunes around after being squashed last week by The Scourge. Esix, on the other hand, would be looking to duplicate his performance of one week ago. Esix struck first with a hook kick to Jose's jaw. Jose showed his first glimpse of offense in VCW with a leaping back kick accross Cordero's shoulders. More back and forth action saw Esix hit a textbook vertical suplex and The Tempest unleash a spinning wheel kick on The Playboy. Jose came running in for a clothesline, but Esix displayed his superior technical skill and snapped him around into an arm bar. Jose didn't waste any time after getting the hold broken before he delivered a shot to Cordero's stomach and shocked him with the Tempest Toss for the victory. Here is your winner, "The Tempest" Jose Reyes !
As "Paint it Black" by The Rolling Stones comes on, Jose throws up his arms in jubilation. He then very quickly exits the ring, before Esix can regain his footing and take revenge for the loss.

Kevin Cage ~VS~ "The Enforcer" Larry Jordan
These two big men put on the match of the night last week. Jordan came out on top in that one and he wanted to do the same this week, to send a message to the VCW roster that he is the 'law'. He started out this demonstration with an inverted atomic drop. Kevin replied with a clubbing blow to LJ's back. Jordan came right back with a snap powerslam on the former convict. And then followed it up with a running DDT, all of which only netted him a one count. Cage rebounded with a gut wrench suplex, but was then floored by a double axe handle to the back of his head. Larry hoisted Kevin to his feet and then proceded to deliver two chokeslams, in succession. Something snapped in Kevin after the second chokeslam, and he sprang to his feet. Larry was completely off guard when Cage nailed Taste the Floor. Not satisfied, Kevin tossed Larry to the outside and delivered another Taste the Floor, this time on the actual floor. LJ was busted open, by still kicked out of the cover once the returned to the ring. Kevin finally maneuvered the big on the announce table and delivered ANOTHER Taste the Floor, through the announce table, onto the floor. Knowing this match wasn't falls count anywhere, Kevin rolled Larry into the ring and secured the pinfall. Here is your winner, Kevin Cage !
"St. Anger" by Metallica plays as Kevin celebrates defeating Larry this week. The Enforcer looks up from the mat and holds up one finger on each hand towards Kevin, signifying 'we're tied'.
